I'm trying to setup a computer for my mom and am trying to get remote
assistance working. My mom's computer has access to the internet through a wireless router. My computer is on a wireless network. I have gone through the process of sending an invitation and then using that invitation to start a session a number of times but the result is always the same. The password I setup when I create the invitation is not accepted. My guess is I am making some very simple mistake. Help please. |

Make sure your not the <Caps Lock> switch is not on, etc when creating the
password. That kind of simple mistake is common. With that said you might look at using TeamViewer as an alternative to Remote Assistance. Its much easier and faster to use than RA in my opinion. You can also setup a predetermined password if you wish. If you use the TeamViewer connection servers, the default condition, you don't need to worry about open ports, etc on any router your mom or you are behind. http://www.teamviewer.com/index.aspx -- Al Jarvi (MS-MVP Windows – Desktop User Experience) Please post *ALL* questions and replies to the news group for the mutual benefit of all of us...
