Carey:

Please do NOT reference URLs of affiliates of SpyHunter, an Enigma software.

The affiliates generate incomplete removal information for adware/spyware to goad you to
download the so-called free scanner. It is NOT free. It may detect but NOT remove and will
cost $$ to remove the malware.

Enigma is NOT a respectable company and has failed to reign in their affiliates who spam HJT
Expert Forums and use bad business practices.

if it is hostage-ware
then it is likely that
whatever you do to
disinfect your system
will be of little value.

further, who knows
how long you have had
it installed and who knows
what all it has done in
the background to ensure
some degree of survival,
including infecting your
system files and system
restore points and archives.

what i suggest is to
transfer all your personal
docs, pics, etc off the
disk and onto a cd or dvd.

then wipe the disk clean
and reinstall windows.

in your case you may simply
want to use the factory restore
feature.

though you may hesitate to
do the above, you might want
to remember how happy your
were when you first got a
fabulously functional windows
system, until you screwed it
all up -respectfully that is.

if you do install windows
again, set your windows firewall
to "no exceptions" and refrain
from installing third party
software that replaces the
genuine and functional
software that is pre-included
with windows.
