Hi all. I have recently started using XP Embedded, and I'm starting to get tired of repeating the following cycle: 1- Generate an XPe image. 2- Install it in a testing machine. 3- Realise it has some feature missing. 4- Google for a while in order to find out what component provides that feature. 5- Add the component to the image in the Target Designer 6- Go to step 1. I've thought it would be great if I could create such an image that is equivalent in functionality to XP Professional. Is there any way I can do this or somewhere where I can download such a component set?. Thanks. |

This is XPe development. In addition to what KM posted, I have a XP Pro like solution found here: http://www.seanliming.com/Components.html -- Regards, Sean Liming www.sjjmicro.com / www.seanliming.com Book Author - XP Embedded Advanced, XP Embedded Supplemental Toolkit "kovan" <kovan@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:8DFEAA67-515C-43B4-A708-2622900626AB@microsoft.com... > > > Hi all. > > I have recently started using XP Embedded, and I'm starting to get tired > of > repeating the following cycle: > > 1- Generate an XPe image. > > 2- Install it in a testing machine. > > 3- Realise it has some feature missing. > > 4- Google for a while in order to find out what component provides that > feature. > > 5- Add the component to the image in the Target Designer > > 6- Go to step 1. > > > > I've thought it would be great if I could create such an image that is > equivalent in functionality to XP Professional.
