Default How can I import a video (on DVD) into Movie Maker? (and then ontoFacebook)

Hi

How can I import a video on a DVD into Movie Maker?
The files on the DVD are called:

VIDEO_TS.BUP
VIDEO_TS.IFO
VIDOE_TS.VOB
VTS_01_0.BUP
VTS_01_0.IFO
VTS_01_0.VOB

....But when I open Movie Maker (version 2.1.4026.0) it can't see any
of those files.

Sorry for the newbie questions but what are all those filetypes?

UItimately I am simply trying to get the video onto facebook.com...

Hi John

Thanks I tried the first option:

> Movie Maker 2 -

But I didnt get anywhere.
I tried renaming the .VOB file to become a .MPG file. But I couldnt
get it either to play on the PC (in Windows Media Player) and nor
would Movie Maker 2.1 recognise it. I tried directly uploading it into
www.youtube.com, but I think it's too large in any case (405MB). I
even tried installing "TMPGEnc" but I couldnt see any formats that I
recognised.

HELP!

It may be worth a try to read the articles again.
