What you're after isn't clear - at least, not to me.

Are you trying to find something within XP's "Search" or "Help and Support"
functions? Or are you after assistance in searching the Web, eg via Google?
If the latter, you've a bit of cheek asking here :-) and there's no single
correct answer as to which keywords to use. But why not simply type into
Google those very words you've just gone to the trouble of typing in here:
"uninstall windows desktop search"? You could have found out the answer in
less time than it took your post to reach the newsgroup servers...!

I googled for; uninstall windows desktop search. It found a forum but not
MS support.

The forum said <snip> spun... etc. but using the windows live search I have
no folder or file that start with spun...*.*

So I had to come here as a last resort.

Unless you deleted the uninstaller it should be here:
