I have my computer set to automatically download and install
upgrades, hot fixes etc for XP. I am on a POT line here at home and for some of the larger files it takes forever to download them. I usually leave my computer connected to the Internet overnight so that this process can occur. Is there any way to display what files are being downloaded while this is happening? The little shield icon in the tool bar tells what percentage of the file has been downloaded, but no other information. Harold A. Climer Dept. Not that I'm aware of. I do however suggest you do manual updates. I.E.
Turn off auto updates and whenever you have time just click on Windows Update and you'll see what is available and can decide whether or not you want it. Also if it is large you can download at night if you so choose.
