I have a gateway comp...xp professional I have internet through my cable
company I have a router so I can use my laptop. I can use my laptop...BUT
my gateway can not find the router (linksys) I also noticed that the
networking icon
( 2 computer screens) is not on the taskbar

Are you trying to connect wirelessly from the Laptop to a Router that is not
Wireless???
Are you connected by cable to the router??
