I have a remote XP Pro workstation that is to be used non-interactivelly as a
"reader board". I need to log on remotely, open a program, then disconnect without leaving the screen locked as is usual with RDP. That is, I want the screen I see before logging off to appear locally when I log off. I don't know if any way to do this over RDP. Is there a way to do this, or can someone suggest a third-party product that will allow me to do this? |

Is this "user" you are remotely connected as already logged in? If so - you can 'push' the console session back to the 0 (in front of) session. command line: tscon 0 /dest:console -- Shenan Stanley MS-MVP -- How To Ask Questions The Smart Way http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html |

Perfect. Thank you. I had thought of the reboot/auto-logon, but your other
option is what I was looking for, and it works perfectly. Typically, I would be the one to log on (remotely) to configure the settings & start the program, then disconnect this way to leave the PC running.
