The system date on my computer sometimes unexpectedly changes to some
previous date all by itself for no known reason and with no known frequency. This has been the case on the last 3 computers I have owned (1 Win98 and 2 WinXP). I have never been able to find out why or when it happens. It is quite a nuiscance - if I do not realize it then emails and faxes are stored under this older date and do not apprear on top of the list and I can miss them. I have Excel sreadsheets with macros. I have wondered if this change occurs if I run one of these sheets while being connected to the internet (and using Outlook Express and IE Explorer) - but I have not been able to confirm this. During this last session the date changed from 17 May to 15 March 2007. Any ideas why. Laurence |

You probably have a motherboard battery that is failing.
