Default Unable to copy folder

I want to copy a hard disk from a broken machine. I have managed this
mostly except for one folder that says "0 bytes". I suspect this was a
protected folder. I am unable to boot the hard disk and log in with a
password because the machines motherboard has blown.

Is there any way I can access this data?

Thanks.
