Must follow the full process each time. Delete all autorun.inf files on root folders. That file may be hidden. Look for malware and viruses on your system. -- Regards Arkadiusz 'Black Fox' Artyszuk |

I have removed autorun.inf..........but no change
I have run a couple of virus, spyware scanners, and still no change. I must say that I have absolutely no problem opening my Drive D, or E or removable drive. They open fine. It is just LOCAL DRIVE C: "Arkadiusz 'Black Fox' Artyszuk" <blackfox@x-privat.org> wrote in message news:47D3F8DA.1090005@blackfox.org... > Theuns wrote: > >> All of a sudden Windows will not open my Local Disk :C. After deleting autorun.inf it's necessary to reboot system or at least restart explorer process using task manager. -- Regards Arkadiusz 'Black Fox' Artyszuk |

Deleted and Restarted, still the same. Is there a manual command that will
set it to use explorer to open? > In most cases autorun.inf points to main malware file. After deleting > autorun.inf it's necessary to reboot system or at least restart explorer > process using task manager. > > -- > Regards > Arkadiusz 'Black Fox' Artyszuk |

Thanks Black Fox

I tried 5 different virus/spyware scanners and nothing was detected, till I used NOD32, which found AVPO.exe or Win32/Pacex.gen virus. Google show that it will cause exactly the symptoms that I had. Surprising though that 5 scanners showed nothing including Spyware Doctor from PCTools. Thanks for the help. |
