I got a new PC from my IT department and I noticed one annoying bug.
No one around here knows why it's like this, but it's in all our new WinXP SP2 images. I have folder shortucts to network drives on my desktop that I use to quickly go to network folders where I store files. On all the other PC's I've had in the past, these shortcuts appeared in all standard Windows Open Dialogue boxes as an option to drop a file into. Now, I don't see them at all. I have to do \\networkfolder\etc\etc\etc every time I want to say a file and it drives me crazy. As a side note, the little shortcut arrow isn't shown on these folder icons either. TweakUI couldn't reset them back to the default either, although I tried. It's a system-wide setting because logging in as the local Administrator (not on our domain) is also affected. Any ideas? -Bob |
