Default Re: IE7 Memory Managment

PA Bear,

I got back from a road trip and have been able to focus back on this.

RIES didn't solve the difficulty about IE7's memory issues either.

I took the advice of Tony Schreiner's article, in the third blog address,
and increased the desktop heap space from 3072 to 4096. This gave me more
working room and allows me to open more windows.

All in all, IE7 still stops at a 'brick wall' when it is full and doesn't
allow any other applications to run, or switch between apps, or anything else
unless some tabs are closed. Other software has slowed the machine or caused
more pagefile access, but not prevent other processes from starting or
working.

For now, the increased heap space has given me a useful work-around. The
reason that IE7 stalls everything still stays hidden.

Thanks for your advice and for helping me find a useful maneuver to fit my
needs.
