How do I delete a program from the start menu? I tried the "msconfig"
routine and end up getting messages that I made changes. I don't want to
delete from the system since I use these programs a couple times a year
but I don't want them running in the background all the time. Tried the
help on Win XP but didn't see anything on deleting a start item.
Any help or suggestions are welcomed.

Unchecking services doesn't delete the drivers, it just doesn't include
them in startup. They will still remain (unchecked) on MSConfig's list.
