Hi all,
I need a little help from you: I would like to transfer *all* settings (also desktop, etc) and files related to "Documents and Settings" from one user to a different user on the same system. Sounds like a common task, but I could not find any help on this. TIA Uwe |

Hi,
I am looking for the same thing. To be more specific, we are migrating users from from one AD to another AD domain. The users will be on the same PC but will have a different logon account. We are looking for a tool to migrate their local profile/settings to their new account. I looked at ADMT and USMT but both assume the users have the same username before and after the migration. So they won't work in our case. Any suggestion would be appreciated. Thanks, slamck "Uwe Pilgram" wrote: > Hi all, > > I need a little help from you: I would like to transfer *all* settings > (also desktop, etc) and files related to "Documents and Settings" from > one user to a different user on the same system. I was wondering if any of you have solved this problem... I have written a
very nice little script that does it all... Anyone interested can contact me at stewart.basterash@hotmail.com "slamck" wrote: > Hi, > I am looking for the same thing.
