Sorry if this is off topic everyone but I am hoping someone can help me. I
just loaded the new free AVG version 8.0 (I am running xpsp2), and I figured I should have manually uninstalled 7.5 first but it said it would do it automatically and I trusted it. Anyway it made a bunch of registry changes and spybot teatimer kept picking them up so I kept clicking "accept", etc etc. Now, every time I boot up, spybot teatimer puts up an acceptance window above the icon tray saying something like "Allowed value "AVG7_CC" (new data: "") deleted in System Startup global entry!" The window disappears after a few seconds It does it every bootup and then it lists it in the spybot log, so it will keep listing forever. Please tell me how to get rid of this annoyance and stop it from listing it in the log. Am I going to have to uninstall AVG 8.0 and start over (making sure to delete the directory also if it leaves any part of it), and I guess I should disable spybot teatimer first if I do (do you agree)- I didn't on previous installation versions of AVG, but I may have uninstalled the previous version manually first. I am afraid to mess with the registry without knowing exactly what is going on. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. It would be nice if there was a simple fix. Thanks...Pete |

I guess it wiped everything out but it still kept the log lists...Pete |
